What to do on Posting Day:

1) Post to AO3

2) Crossposting

3) Post to DW

Posting to AO3

1) The AO3 work needs to be posted to the MCU KinkBang 2020 collection

You can do that either by going to the link and clicking on "Post to Collection" on the top right corner:

or by going to "Post new Work" and then typing in MCU KinkBang 2019 into the box under Associations:

2) You need to post as either a "Co-creator", an "Inspired by" or a "Gift". All of these relationships can be toggled on the "Post New Work" page.

"Co-Creator" means that the artwork is embedded into the fic and both artist and author are listed as co-creators to a single AO3 Work.


"Inspired By" means that the prompter puts up their art or fic, and then the claimer posts their work as "inspired by", and their work appears as a link on the AO3 fic or art. You can post non-AO3 links for "Inspired By", so it works well if the artist doesn't have an AO3 account.

"Gift" means that the claimer posts their work as a "gift" to the prompter, and links to the prompt work in their Author Notes.

3) The fic and art must be completely posted by the posting date

- any time zone is fine
- If you have a multi-chapter work that you intend to post over several days, (a) it must be completely posted by the posting date, and (b) the earliest you can start posting is Mar 3.
For example, if you have 3 chapters and you claim Mar 10 as your posting date, then you can post one chapter per day on Mar 8, 9, 10.

4) Make sure you have appropriate nsfw image hosting. AO3 doesn't have image hosting, so make sure that the art is hosted elsewhere. We have some suggested methods here: https://mcukb.dreamwidth.org/1978.html

Posting to DW

1) Only one person needs to make the DW post to the mcukb community. If neither of you have a DW account, please email the mods with all the relevant information, and we can make the post for you.

To post to this DW community: Go to https://www.dreamwidth.org/update, and select "mcukb" from the drop-down:

If mcukb doesn't show up in the drop-down, you need to go here and click Join, then wait for mod approval.

2) The DW Masterpost needs to contain a banner, fic info, and relevant links. To see what masterposts look like, scroll through the masterposts from last year.

Banner: The banner should have the title of the fic, the author, and the artist on it, as well as some sort of art. That can simply be a close crop of the artwork you did for the bang, although some artists prefer to do something different.

Fic Info: This is basically just the AO3 fic info: Title, warnings, pairings, tags, summary. If you click on the "Share" button on the AO3 fic, it should be automatically generated for you.

Relevant Links: This depends on you, but generally you want to link to the artist, the author, and any other places that you've crossposted.

Crossposting

Due to the more spread-out state of fandom right now, feel free to crosspost to any other platforms of your desire, as long as you are posting on or after your posting date, and link to the fic and art on AO3
